Great Night to be a Bruin

LOVE the Bruins tonight. I’m not 100% sure what it is but I am all over the Bruins. For starters, Tuukka is the better goalie. He is having a career year and is arguably the best net minder in the league right now. He is leading the NHL in GAA, 4thin Save %, and is tied for the 3rd most shutouts. Whenever Tuuk is in net, the B’s have a great chance to win. Vasilevski is no slouch, but his offense has helped carry him recently.

The Bruins have been rolling lately, however the smoking hot Lightning have managed to gain points in that stretch. Losing Stamkos is a huge loss for the Lightning, and to me it means the team with the better offense is wearing an eight spoked B. I’m expecting a big day from the birthday boy and Weymouth’s finest, Charlie Coyle. I think he can use his big size and strength to outmuscle a beat-up Tampa Bay team, and I am expecting that third line to have a big role. The perfection line will roll as usual, so if the third line steps up (or any other line) I don’t see how Tampa can take this game.

My Bets

I am on the Bruins ML +100 for 2 units and Bruins PL +290 for 1. I wouldn’t touch the total at 6 as I expect this game to hover around the 4-1 mark. I am keeping my eye on Tuukka Rask props as I could easily see a 30 save night from him. The Bruins do a nice job forcing shots from the outside which Tuuk will eat up. The last 2 games played against Tampa, Tuukka had 29 and 33. If his save number prop is around 28 I will be taking it. I also see value in Bruins in regulation +165 if you aren’t a huge puckline fan, but I’m not touching that.

Big night for the Bruins where we could potentially learn a lot about this team. I’m very excited to see how the two former Ducks play in a big game. They have had enough time with the team to be somewhat acclimated and we need contributions from them if we are to make a cup run. I for one can’t wait to throw on NBCSN, get a buzz going, and watch the Bruins make me some money!
